Tile installation
Tile installation can be complex, so we always recommend letting professional installers handle the hard stuff! So, trust Barrett Floors with your tile installation! Read on to learn more about the process.
Preparing for installation
We'll first measure out your work area to determine how much tile is needed for the job. We'll then need to remove your existing flooring while ensuring your subfloor is smooth, flat, and ready for tile installation. If the subfloor is not concrete, we'll need to first install concrete backer boards.
During and after installation
A member of your household who is at least 18 or older should be available to greet the installation crew and show them to the work area. For everyone’s safety, keep children and pets away from the work area until the job is done. Our installers will carefully cut and trim your tile, spreading mortar and grout and placing each tile carefully. Afterwards, you'll need to stay off of your tile for around 48 hours as the grout cures and solidifies.
Care & maintenance
While tile is extremely durable and easy to clean, it does require some maintenance to keep it in top shape. Click here to learn more about tile care and maintenance and follow some simple care tips from our flooring experts!
