Granite countertops
Granite countertops have long been in high demand due to their beauty and durability. They are mined from pure stone which is then sawed into slabs and polished for installation. Granite shows slight, natural variations in color, ranging from earthy tones to more exotic blues, greens, and rose-colored hues.
Quartz countertops
Often referred to as engineered stone countertops, quartz countertops are similar in both appearance and performance to granite, yet quite different in their material makeup. Rather than being cut from pure mined stone, quartz surfaces are manufactured using a mixture of mostly crushed quartz and colored pigments, bound together with resin. Because of this process, you’ll find quartz countertops in a wider variety of colors.
